When you are planning what colours to use for your destination wedding, we highly recommend making a mood board like the one below. You can use it to inspire and inform your planning and guide what you purchase, hopefully meaning less mistakes or wasted money!

Creating this mood board doesn’t necessarily mean only collecting WEDDING examples of items in the colours that you are considering. You can make a folder, physical or electronic, in which to put photographs from magazines, the internet, your camera or even travel brochures. Take photographs of shop displays, crockery, clothing or even wildflowers. Of course, ideas about bridal dresses, bridesmaids, cakes, decorations, flowers, invitations and even balloons can help inspire your wedding planning.

From your collection of ideas, you may start to narrow down to your preferred shade of blue or decide to mix and match various shades? You can collect the best examples into a collage, like ours, which you can keep in your purse or phone as a reference when out and about shopping.

For our blue and white mood board we used the inspiration of the traditional Greek style St. Nicholas Chapel in Paphos, Cyprus, which is painted white with a blue roof and of course the beauty of a blue sky with white clouds which you hope will be the backdrop for your special day.
